Some Nice Things
We've entered a lot of contests. That's the way of things. I miss the old Spec Script boom. It would be nice to see it come back. We did well in both eras. I don't put much stock in screenplay contests because most of them do what's good for them and a little bit for you. However, we racked up over a dozen placements so at least we feel like we know what we're doing. Yes, we know what we're doing.
We're not posting every placement we ever made. We're just humble comedians - humility will kill you in this business. So fine, here's some highlights of our best moments:

Office Politiks:
We wanted to share this note from your reader about what they loved:
OFFICE POLITIKS is a clever and compelling concept that is easy to picture on the screen. One of its greatest strengths is the comedy that is inherent in the idea; this will surely appeal to both older actors and the audiences that love them. Nearly every scene has some level of humor and the dynamic between Hank and Andrei is delightfully deranged.
Hit Me
Thanks again for entering our competition, and congratulations again on making the top 15! An achievement to be proud of!
This is a great character, and a fresh and original spin on the wildly over done ‘assassin’ genre. You should know I have a bit of a pet peeve about assassin movies - I feel like there are far more assassins in movies than have ever existed in the real world. So the fact your script made the top 15 speaks to how well you have executed and delivered.
Cutter is a complex dude, dealing with a general level of dissatisfaction with humanity, and even the role he chose for himself…whilst telling himself he is doing the right thing. That’s a lot, and it’s fascinating, and you do a great job with him. So keep going!
